Replexa+ is a Shortwave Diathermy device that applies electromagnetic energy to the body at a frequency of 27.12 MHz. Shortwave Diathermy provides thermal benefits (with little to no sensation of heat) and stimulates cellular activity to treat deep tissue problems. Replexa+ can be safely administered by the patient or caregiver in any setting.

...So what is Shortwave Diathermy?

Shortwave Diathermy is the application of oscillating, electromagnetic energy to the body at a frequency of 27.12 MHz.

Shortwave diathermy can be administered as either an inductive or capacitive field. In capacitive, the body part treated is primarily within an electric field and fat layers are more readily affected. In inductive, the body part is primarily treated within a magnetic field, and deeper tissues like muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia are more readily affected.

Shortwave diathermy can also be administered in either a continuous or pulsed mode. In continuous mode, the energy is “always on”. The continuous energy is typically used to provide heat at the skin level to warm up tissue for rehab purposes.  In pulsed mode, the energy is applied in bursts. The pulsed energy increases depth of penetration but skin temperature is generally unaffected because the heat can be dissipated or absorbed by the tissue during the treatment.

Replexa+ operates primarily in the Inductive, Pulsed format.

Replexa+ is indicated to RELIEVE PAIN and to INCREASE BLOOD FLOW

Increasing blood flow and stimulating cellular activity aids wounds
such as:

Replexa+ is non-narcotic and can treat any tissue pain, anywhere on the body:

  • Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Shoulders, Back, Neck
  • Wound Pain
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Tendonitis
  • Post surgical
  • Pressure Sores
  • Problem Wounds
  • Donor Sites
  • Diabetic Ulcers
  • Venous Stasis Ulcers
  • Increase Graft Acceptance

How are positive outcomes achieved?

Replexa+ works at the cellular level, which requires time to produce positive outcomes. We also recognize that when the responsibility lies with the patient to use a product properly, they often fail to do so. We specifically designed the Replexa+ device, along with our Compliance Enhancement Program, to help your patients achieve positive outcomes.

To achieve that, we start with a personal in-service, instructing them on proper product usage, as well asestablishing the best treatment routine and location for each patient. We then help the patient set up a treatment station and assemble a custom applicator configuration to meet the unique requirements of their treatment site. These efforts help to encourage initial product compliance as they start their treatment cycle.

We continue to work with each patient on a regular basis throughout their entire treatment period. The Replexa+ device records the details of every treatment. These real time statistics enable us to continue to motivate the patient, improve product usage, and provide additional recommendations to help maintain compliance in the home.

Despite all our efforts, a few patients will simply choose to be non-compliant. If we are unable to increase patient compliance, we inform the clinicians and recommend they discontinue therapy as a cost savings measure.

It doesn’t matter how good a therapy is, if the patient doesn’t use it, it won’t work.
ProMedTek takes an active role in getting the highest level of compliance from each and every patient.

  • 2 applicators can be used simultaneously, cutting treatment time in half and ensuring more effective coverage on complicated treatment sites.
  • Broader, more uniform distribution of energy ensures a more effective coverage of the treatment sites.
  • A large, color touchscreen makes it easy for patients to use the Replexa+ device.

  • We monitor compliance through built-in technology that automatically records each treatment.
  • With actual compliance information, any known issues can be discussed with the patient and quickly resolved.
  • We follow up with each patient on a regular basis to ensure proper usage throughout their entire therapy.

  • Clear and competitive pricing means significant cost savings over competitive Shortwave Diathermy therapies.
  • Reduction of re-admittance rates for chronic and “problem” patients reduce overall facility costs associated with patient visits.
  • Lower purchase costs for long-term use reduce barriers to providing an effective therapy to patients actively using the product and seeing positive outcomes.
